We wish you all the best Marina(Morris)and just note Barnardo's, this girl is doing it for the benefit of young and old Barnardo's children so please give her the recognition she richly deserves in your Magazine,and perhaps she should be in contention for the "Goldings Award" this year? come on you lot give her your vote.Well Done.

Hello all my Friends, Marina sets off for Cardiff today, so that she can compete in the Half Marathon in the morning, Sunday 18th October. She has almost reached her target of £1,000 and I am tempted to just top it up. Marina is not a girly type girl, but if her target is met, then she will be running with Fairy Wings and a Tutu. Being the kind loving dad that I am, I feel compelled to help her achieve this!
I take this opportunity to thank all those that placed coins in her bucket at the reunion, and to the many kind lads that sponsored her in other ways. Thanks to Dave for supplying her with a top and shorts, hopefully we’ll have photos to display after the race.
I know that you will all join with me in wishing her every success in the half marathon, and we know that Barnardos will use the cash raised for the benefit of other young people, as they did for us all.

Jo Shepard (Mr Shepards daughter)is trying to secure funding for all of the artefacts that we now have.Hymn Book,Copper Jug,(made by the tin bashers)and many other items that were part of Goldings along with a small fork and spade,carpenters chisel,a bird box made in the carps shop,the holy communion bible,and many more interesting items which will be shortly displayed on the site and available at our reunions for anyone who wishes to inspect,or recall,and perhaps one day a permanent display in Hertford Museum! or any other suitable home which will be agreeable to all.Many thanks Jo.
