The Goldings Gardening Department

Yesterday we made a fleeting visit to Kidsgrove? and have now discovered what happened to the Gardening Equipment when Goldings closed? Along with an extensive Greenhouse displaying some of the finest tomato's we have come across since the demise of Goldings?it appears that all our training given at Goldings is continuing to bear rewards after so many years? and next year they propose to introduce a Banana Plant within this extensive greenhouse complex to replicate the one they grew at Goldings? If you do happen to make a visit please note they also have a special offer on toilet rolls?

Good morning Len,received your re union reply and cheque yesterday,but how did you find my address from 35 years ago to send it to? I am very interested how it came about because I havn't lived there for a long time,perhaps you have a DeLoren cars which go backwards and forwards in time,it must be expensive to run after the recent rise in petrol? thanks Len.

Sad news Pop has just informed me that Albert Barefield has died this evening July 31st. Albert was at Goldings in the late fifties, he learned his trade in the Boot and Shoe Department and stayed at this trade all his working life.

Many thanks Dixie for the photos and D.V.D.and infomation about you and your time at Goldings.How the hell did the Printers in the Goldonian get you and C.Alsemgeest mixed up? you were much taller? Dave.David Barlow is the Goalkeeper in the same team.
