I remember Bob Bone, if I remember rightly he had a brother we used to call them "Juicy and Raw Bone" Bob was a printer the same time as me, I signed my papers in 1955 with Dusty Millar those were the days

SUNDAY 25.11. 11.15pm. Re. BOB BONE
Earlier this evening I went out with my lady friend to one of our regular watering holes for a drink and meal, as we do every Sunday. I had just left the bar with pint in hand to find a seat, when I was tapped on the shoulder and asked if I was Alan Dearman, to which I replied yes! He then shook my hand and said I'm BOB BONE. I could not believe it. In case anyone is wondering what this is all about, BOB was at GOLDINGS with me and I'm sure many of you will remember him. Bob was there from 1954 to 1958 then went to the Verney as he was a printer. Over another pint we sat and talked for over an hour. He was sad to learn that one of his old mates, Mac Lang had passed on and was also sorry to hear we had lost John Hunt, Jimmy James and Bob Newton. It turn's out that he has lived in Nottingham for the past 15 years and visits this pub most weekends (like myself) and we have never met. The last time I saw Bob was at the reunions during the 1980s. I'm sure many will remember Bob Bone and may wish to get in touch with him. I have his address and telephone number for anyone interested, please contact me.
Bob tells me that he is going abroad to visit his Step daughter on December 9th for 5 weeks and will not be back until Mid January 2008. Another twist to this story, is that his other step daughter lives just 500 yard from me. I hope this information is of interest to those who know Bob. What would we do without our web site? we are all indebted to Dave Blower and his family for keeping it going.
