Hi Dave,
I got back from holiday on Sunday night and have been trying to catch up since. I see there has been plenty of activity on the site which is great to see.
With regards to the football trophy. I think the wording is perfect and sums up what goldings was all about.
As has already been mentioned, we should try and do something special at this years reunion as it is 40 years since our beloved home closed. With the new venue, do we have room for some entertainment?
In addition to it being 40 years since goldings closed, it's interesting to note that it is 50 years this year since the first Goldings reunion. another good reason for doing something special. Did you think anymore about putting together a general press release which we could then all submit to our local press & media?
While on Holiday, I saw a wonderful performance of children doing a singing, dancing and skipping routine and have taken the liberty of sounding them out by writing to the head teacher to see what the possibility of entertaining us are. You may well know the school i'm talking about, Glebefields Primary School, Tipton.
Well Dave, my bed is calling as it's work again in the morning.
PS Have you had any problems with the bad weather and flooding?
Kind Regards
ALAN

Hi Lads, I'm back off my hols and back to work.
In the mean time, I'm after some information from anyone who can Help.
In 1953 I was one of the children who took part in the recording of "Where did my Snowman Go" with Petula Clark. I was at Barkingside at the time and have memories of the occasion. Are there any goldings boys out there who also took part, who also have any memories. If there are, could you let me have them as I have been asked to write a piece aqbout it for the International Petula Clark Society. you can either put it on the guest book or E-mail it direct to me.
