You have recently been in touch with my mother and brought back so many memories which she has related to me. Goldings was very much part of my growing up years and I have many memories of times spent with the Embletons and the Corbetts playing around the grounds. I am a avid Wimbledon fan and often think of my grandfather sitting in that seat on the left hand side of my TV screen. I have always had a love of history and feel that my great grand father probably played a role in the formation of Barnardos. I believe that you are interested in anything to do with Goldings. I have a newspaper cutting, both photo and write up, of Princess Margaret's visit to Goldings on Oct 18th 1960. The photo is of my grandfather with the Princess. Do you have this? I do not have a scanner but could send you a copy of it. Do you intend all this information to go into a book eventually? I recently spent 2 months in the UK and am just sorry that all this didn't transpire while I was there. I do come over regulary.
