Have just being speaking to Stanley Cann, who his coming to this years re-union after an abscence of four years. He his also bringing his brother Tony who lives in New Zealand,he tells me his other brother died,as there was three that went to Goldings.I'm quite sure that many of you lads out there will remember them 1955-59 for Stan, who trained to be a Carpenter.I don't know if anyone else remembers that Appleyard (the chaplain at the time at Goldings)had a Vintage Rolls Royce, and he parked it outside Wych Elm cottage were he lived, and they were allowed to sit in it and help him polish it,it looks like they were well blessed!

a man called horse
dear mr stallion!(could this refer to your body shape? shire horse perhaps plenty of bulk)you refer to our friend of aspel as a little fat man with "jam jar glasses"his rotund shape is due to on reunion day he has to eat as much as possible and very quickly before you arrive as food becomes very scarce very quickly when you arrive as witnessed a few years ago when you "scoffed" most of the fish and chips we have photograph evidence(look on the 2004 reunion photos?)we thought 200 was at the reunion untill somebody reminded us that you were there? as only a 100 to my knowledge paid now your reference to his "jam jar glasses" well you know like all of his did he had a severe medical problem with his eyesight brought on by extra activities after "lights out" surely you remember mr goodman telling him "you will go blind" well dr jory rescued him just in time but to late to reverse the condition and informed him you'll "end up with a guide dog" the third point "your'e shabby brown coat"you mention well he sometimes does wear this to reassure himself that after 1965 (when it was given to him by "war on want" that it still fits him perfectly!can you say the same i doubt it rumour has it that your present tailor was a tent maker is this true? you fail to mention his "film star " looks (and don't say lassie!)and football skills honed up top field just because he looks like himmler doesn't make him all bad i will end this defence of our little friend of aspel up the potteries Right up!
