Hi Dave,
Thanks for sending me the cup final programme and Alan's story.
The final seemed to be another success, a good game played in the right spirit, I suppose Marlborough was meant to win, having a tough route to the final, One win after extra time and two wins on penalties. The Goldings cup was a cracking idea, long may it continue.
I'm still on the mend, thank you for your concern. Pop

Swine Flu jokes
I've heard on the radio they have found a cure for Swine flu. Apparently it's some sort of oinkment

Woke up this morning I thought I had Swine flu, I'd come out in rashers.

Tried to phone 24 hr National health to find out about Swine flu, all I got was crackling.

Just won a holiday to Mexico. Can't go , I'm pig sick

Wife calls Hubby " I've run out of Petrol. I'm scared to fill up because of Swine flu"
Hubby says "Dont be stupid, its in Mexico not Texaco"

I think I've got Swine flu cause I pulled a right pig last night.

Another most enjoyable Goldings cup Final night at St. Albans FC. As David said, the hospitality we received was excellent and we were again fed and watered in the Boardroom at half time and after the game, treated in the club Bar. David Barlow and myself were given the task of carrying out the presentation to the players. I felt both privileged and proud to have presented the winning medals and trophy to the winning side and I know david felt the same as he presented the medals to the losing side. David also spent a few minutes talking to the losing side and pointed out to them that he was a losing finalalist over 50 years ago at Ware Town's Ground.
I know that somewhere on the goldings Web site, Davids medal can be viewed.
I think we all owe a big thank you to Dave Blower for all that he does and I would propose that he make the presentations at next years final.
